AVC and Dr. Stumpff have worked closely with the Weim Rescue for years facilitating with the medical treatment and rehoming process for the Weimaraners in their care. All Weimaraners in our care are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and treated for any known medical issues they might have, including, but not limited to heartworm disease, orthopedic concerns, vision issues, and anything else needed. Efforts are funded by adoption fees and donations from "Weim-loving" people like you. Click here for more information. |
Riverchase Elementary Career Day
Dr. Stumpff, on behalf of AVC, has volunteered at the school's Career Day for over 6 years. This eventful day gives fifth-grade students the opportunity to meet with working professionals, in small groups, in order to learn more about their career interests. Each group of students gets to spend spend 15 minutes at each of their selected career-interest sessions. As a volunteer, Dr. Stumpff represents the veterinary profession. She presents a typical day in the field, discusses the skills necessary to perform the job, and answers many questions from the inquisitive fifth-graders. |
