FAQ Everything You Need To Know About Our Day Training Program

We use positive reinforcement and science-based techniques to create safe, effective learning environments. Our approach:

  • Builds trust and confidence through reward-based methods
  • Empowers dogs with choice and autonomy
  • Creates strong human-animal bonds
  • Makes learning enjoyable and rewarding

We design training sessions that set dogs up for success, celebrate their progress, and transform behaviors through positive experiences rather than punishment or fear.

Day training is a unique program where your dog enjoys the benefits of daycare—socialization, play, and enrichment—while also receiving multiple short, focused training sessions throughout the day. This method helps dogs learn faster and retain skills better.

Training days are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

We make sure you're part of the journey! Each week, you'll get a video, a report card, and homework to keep training going at home. We're always happy to chat and answer questions, too!

Megan Ramirez - Dog Trainer

Meet Our Trainer Megan

With over 15 years of experience, Megan Ramirez brings a genuine love of dogs, and her expertise to every training session. Her science-based, positive reinforcement approach was inspired by her beloved Great Dane, Amadeus, who sparked her passion for helping dogs and people communicate better.

Megan holds multiple professional certifications (MLS, CPDT-KA, KPA-CTP, and CCFT), reflecting her commitment to ongoing education and excellence. She specializes in creating personalized training plans that make learning fun while building confidence and practical skills for real-world success.

Her home pack includes a Great Dane (one of the few to compete in flyball!), a spunky Dachshund, two athletic Whippets (including Dual Champion Legato), and a pair of cool Maine Coons. Ask about her favorite success story—a Border Collie's transformation from rock-obsessed to trail-ready. Megan loves nothing more than seeing dogs and their people thrive together!

Jo - Training Assistant

Meet Our Training Assistant Jo

With 8 years of dog experience and 2.5 years specializing in training and behavior, Jo brings passion and expertise to every session. Her rescue background ignited her mission to help dogs develop skills for successful forever homes. Jo is working on becoming a professional dog trainer, and will be working with Megan and training under her. Jo is our current kennel manager so she already knows and loves all of our boarding and daycare pups!

Jo's positive reinforcement approach empowers dogs with choice, sets them up for success, and makes learning enjoyable. She values building trust and lasting bonds with both dogs and their families, finding joy in watching her canine students grow.

At home, Jo's mini-menagerie includes three dogs, three cats (including orange kitty Tube Sock), a giant leopard gecko, an axolotl, and various fish. Her Corgi, Maze, provides endless entertainment with quirky antics, while her athletic Dachshund, Cheddar, recently conquered a 4.3-mile canine obstacle course, proving that even small dogs can tackle big challenges!
