Veterinary Technician Student and Inventory Manager
Hi, my name is Shania, and I am a Veterinary Technician Student and Inventory Manager at Advanced Veterinary Care of Vestavia. I am passionate about being a voice for animals and helping clients better understand and care for their pets. At home I share my life with three of my own: Prince, my 9-year-old cat who owns every room he walks into; Tuffy, a feisty 2-year-old cat who keeps everyone on their toes; and Shadow, my 14-year-old Papillon who has seen it all and is still going strong.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work I am always looking to learn more about veterinary medicine. I am the kind of person who genuinely enjoys diving deeper into this field even off the clock.
Favorite Part of My Job
Being a voice for the voiceless is what drives me. I love educating clients about their pet's care and knowing that the information I share makes a real difference in how well their animals are looked after at home. There is also nothing quite like watching a patient recover and go home healthy — that sense of accomplishment never gets old.
Why I Chose This Profession
Animals have always held a special place in my heart. That lifelong passion is what led me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, and I am currently working towards my Veterinary Technician certification through Penn Foster. Every day in practice reinforces that I made the right choice.
